How to get around the property

Gandum is not a single building. It is a small habitable landscape. To help you feel comfortable from day one, here we explain how the space is organized and how to move between the different areas.

1. Entry onto the Property

🚪 Entrance Gate

Access to Gandum is via the main gate on EM 537. After entering:

• Continue straight ahead to the main parking lot.

• The reception is located in the building next to the entrance.

Always respect the reduced speed limit (20 km/h). There are children, guests walking around, and... chickens.

2. Monte Area (Main Entrance)

This is the area closest to the reception. Here you will find:

This is the busiest area during the day.

3. Cloister Area

Accessible on foot or by car, crossing the bridge over the Ribeira do Gandum, you will find the quietest area of the property. Here you will find:

• 🛏 Rooms 21 to 38

• 🏊 Cloister Pool

• 🚿 Cloister Bathrooms

This area is more reserved and quiet.

4. Work Area

Located near the central area, with easy access from the reception. A space designed for those who combine rest with remote work.

5. Nature and Trails

Gandum is crisscrossed by footpaths and natural areas. You can explore:

We only ask that you respect the signs and do not walk outside the marked trails.

6. Wellness Zone

A reserved space in a more secluded area of the property.

7. Chickens and Rural Life

Yes, we have chickens. We ask that you: Do not feed them. Do not chase them. Respect the designated areas. They are part of the Gandum ecosystem.

How to Circulate

• You may freely walk around the entire property.

• Vehicular traffic should only be used to access the indicated parks.

• Avoid driving on the property whenever possible.

Gandum was designed to be experienced slowly.

Important Note

The property is extensive. Some areas require short walks. If you have reduced mobility or require specific assistance, please inform reception.

Gandum Tip

On the first day, we recommend taking a short exploratory walk. It helps you get a feel for the space—and choose your favorite spot.
