SOLAR ENERGY: 170 panels provide guilt-free comfort

At Gandum, solar energy is not just an "extra" to make us look good. It is what makes your stay comfortable and simple, without that feeling that relaxing has to come with a guilty conscience.

We have 170 solar panels and produce a significant portion of the electricity we consume. In practice, this means you can use the hotel as a hotel should be used: hot showers, heating/air conditioning when you need it, good internet, a working kitchen, stable operation. No lectures. No "requests" to guests.

The benefit for you

  • Uncompromising comfort: there is no "eco but..." script. It's just comfort, period.

  • More peace of mind: knowing that much of what you consume comes from the sun takes away mental noise. Cleaner rest.

  • A more consistent experience: a well-designed energy operation reduces improvisation and fluctuations. This is noticeable in the service.

Because this is good for the hotel (and improves your experience)

Energy is one of the heaviest costs in a hotel. Producing electricity on site helps to keep electricity bills structurally lower than comparable hotels that purchase everything from the grid. And when a hotel has more controlled fixed costs, it can do better at the basics that matter to guests: maintaining quality, investing in maintenance, improving equipment, and ensuring a well-supported team.

This is sustainability that does not depend on fashion. It depends on infrastructure.

And the environment, of course

Less electricity purchased from fossil fuel sources means fewer emissions associated with hotel operations. But the point here is simple: the same comfort, with less impact.

At Gandum, sustainability is not just talk. It is a way for the hotel to function better—and for your stay to be lighter.
