DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: materials designed to last (and feel)

At Gandum, the building was not designed to "look pretty" for two summers. It was designed to withstand the weather and to be enjoyed every day: more silence, more thermal comfort, more stability.

We choose natural materials and robust construction solutions because this improves the experience of those who stay with us — and also reduces the need for constant interventions, replacements, and maintenance.

What does this change for you?

  • More comfort and fewer "fluctuations": walls and materials with greater thermal inertia help keep the room stable.

  • More silence: dense, well-made materials contribute to a feeling of calm (and deeper sleep).

  • A sense of genuine quality: everything you touch, see, and use has been chosen to last, not to impress on the first day.

And the sustainability side (no sugarcoating)

Durability is one of the most direct ways to reduce impact: fewer replacements, less waste, less transportation, less construction. Maintaining a building in good condition for decades is more sustainable than "renovating" it every few years.
