At Gandum, cycling is part of the experience.
When we say we have bikes at Gandum, we really mean it.
Cycling is one of the most enjoyable and beautiful ways of exercising, alone or in a group. At Gandum we have all the conditions you need to cycle all you want, in safety and freedom, always in close proximity with nature.
On the farm, on the Montemor-o-Novo ecotrail, or on the trails and country roads around us, there's plenty to discover in the saddle, which is why we've set up a bike workshop at Gandum, where in addition to the wonderful bikes, we have all the necessary accessories, such as helmets, children's trailers and of course the essential pumps and straps.
Because people are not all the same, and neither are bicycles, we have bikes adapted to the terrain—mountain bikes—and for different sizes and ages, so that no one is left out.

Bicycle Rental Terms and Conditions - Gandum Village

1. Responsible Use
The bike is available exclusively for recreational use on recommended roads and trails.
The guest undertakes to drive responsibly, respecting traffic and safety rules.
It is forbidden to use the bicycle for risky maneuvers, transporting other people or inappropriate loads.
2. Bike condition
The bike is delivered in good working order, including the following accessories: helmet, lights, lock and basic repair kit.
Before delivery, the guest must check the bike and report any problems.
3. Damage, Loss or Theft
The guest is responsible for damage to or loss of the bicycle.
Repair/Replacement Cost Table:
Flat tire: 10€
Starting chain: 25€
Frame damage: 100€
Damaged/lost lights or helmet: 15€
Bicycle stolen or not returned: total replacement value of 500€.
In the event of theft, the guest must file a report with the authorities and inform Gandum Village immediately.
4. Emergency Assistance
If the guest has a technical problem (e.g. flat tire) during the journey, they can contact the reception at Gandum Village.
Transportation of the bicycle and/or the guest back to the property is subject to availability of the team and incurs an additional cost of €25.
Guests are advised to have a cell phone with them to contact Gandum in case of need.
5. Itineraries and routes
Gandum Village can suggest trails and routes in the region, while respecting public and private property.
It is the guest's responsibility to plan their route and ensure that they do not enter private property or no-go areas.
Guests must inform reception in advance of their chosen route for safety reasons.
6. Security
It is compulsory to wear a helmet, provided by Gandum Village.
The bicycle must be locked whenever it is parked.
Guests should be aware of traffic, adverse weather conditions and uneven terrain.
7. Return
The bike must be returned at the agreed time.
A late return may incur an additional fee of €10/hour.
8. Cancellations and changes
Gandum Village reserves the right to cancel the rental in the event of adverse weather conditions or unexpected technical problems.
Cancellations by the guest must be notified at least 12 hours in advance.

Gandum Village accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, personal injury or damage to property during the use of the bicycle.
Guests are responsible for ensuring that they are physically fit to use a bicycle.

I declare that I have received the bicycle and accessories in good condition, that I have read and understood the terms and conditions above, and that I accept my responsibility for the use of the bicycle during the rental period.
